We will drive to the Judean Desert via the inn of the Good Samaritan. Ascend Masada by cable car to tour the 2000-year-old fortress and palace built by King Herod. Drive via Ein Gedi and Qumran, visit the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Float in the mineral-rich Dead Sea - at 400m. below sea level, the lowest place on earth. Take a mud-bath! And benefit from the therapeutic qualities of the natural Dead Sea mud. Drive back to Jerusalem with over view of Jerico and old Roman Road. Following the tour to Masada we spend approximately 2 hours at Mineral beach. *Bathing suit, towel, and hiking shoes suggested.

Masada The site of an infamous battle of Jewish resistance, Masada rises from the Judaean Desert to a height of 470M Thrill to the story of Masada – where a small group of Jewish zealots stood up the attack of the Roman legion and emerged victorious even in defeat. In 2001, Masada was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour the remnants of the palace fortress, complete with Roman style bathhouses built by King Herod, as well as storehouses, ritual baths and synagogue built by the Jews. Stand on the summit plateau for stunning views of the Dead Sea and the surrounding Judean Desert.
